Boring

A very boring outfit today, but seeing as its the day before a holiday weekend the entire office is pretty casual today. Tonight I have my 10 yr. high school reunion, so I will be sure to post pics of the fab outfits in the next couple days. Until then, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Monday

I bought these shoes yesterday by total accident. My BFF and I went to find outfits for our upcoming 10 year high school reunion. Instead of finding an outfit, I found these adorable heels and I couldn't pass them up. I obviously, couldn't wait to wear them either!

Last week I blogged about Sephora's Last Stash Set. This week, I am on to the Makeup For Ever Smoky Lash. It's product description promises "curl, volume, length, and intense pigment". It certainly delivers on the intense pigment part. My lashes look so dark. So far, I prefer Smoky Lash over last week's Vincent Longo's The Curl.

Friday

Its the end to a very long week and I couldn't be happier. This week just felt like it dragged on. Must be something to do with the upcoming holidays and time off work next week. It makes me very inpatient.

Before and After

I had a hair appointment today during my lunch. So, I decided to wait to post until I returned so I could post "before and after" pics. I just trimmed the ends and got a blow-out.

Something Different

This is my very first time wearing booties and I'm in love. This pair in particular is very comfy. I didn't think that this was a fashion trend for me, but I must say I've changed my mind. They're so cute. I need to find ways to incorporate these booties into my wardrobe. Any suggestions?

This dress is from SJP's Bitten line. It was the dress that was featured on Project Runway. It was the winning dress from one of the challenges from Season 4 and it eventually landed as a part of Bitten's line. Here's a pic from the show.

Tuesday

Fall is slowing easing into Winter as the temps are dropping here in Boston all week long.

This is the coat I wore yesterday which I forgot to take a picture of. I bought it last Winter and I really do get a lot of use out of it because of the color pattern.

Weekend

I managed to get out and do something this weekend. Yay! After going to salsa class on Saturday morning, I met a friend for brunch (see pic) which was followed by some retail therapy by-way of make-up. We made stops at Sephora and M.A.C. (oh, how I love thee.)

At Sephora I bought the Lash Stash set. I was kind of weary about buying it because I had read so many mixed reviews online but I figured at $35 for 10 mini-mascaras it was worth a shot. Im a product fiend. Love trying new brands and products so I really think its such a cute and innovative idea. I've been on the search for the "perfect" mascara for some time and I now wear Chanel Inimitable Mascara (which I love). I can't wait to try each of the mini's out and see if I've discovered a new favorite. I started with the first one, Vincent Longo The Curl Mascara . So far, it doesn't beat out my Chanel but there are still 9 more kinds to go!

LBD

It's the ever-classic, Little Black Dress. I have about 4-5 LBDs and I don't favor one over the other, but this one is so comfortable. I wish it were a tad bit shorter but I love it just the same. Dresses feel so effortless because you dont have to worry about matching a top to a bottom.

This outft was actually planned around wearing the coat and the shoes.

Fashion DON'T

I love when Glamour has its Do's and Don't section in their mag. It's even more fun when you see a "Don't" walking right in front of you.

I saw this woman walking down the street on my lunch and I just had to take a picture. Thank goodness her back was to me because how embarassing would that have been. But, my goodness what is she wearing?!?! This is just all sorts of wrong.

She has on sandals and a white linen skirt when its Novemmber and current Boston temps are 50 degrees. And that jacket. Why? An oversized, heavy jacket over a linen shirt and sandals. I just don't get how some people think this is ok. As I past this woman, I discovered that the man she was walking with was her attorney and they had just left a hearing. Even worse!

Blah Monday!

Is it me or are Mondays the most dreaded day of the work week. There really is just something wrong with Mondays. I suggest that work weeks start on Tuesdays. If only it were that easy.

The temps were once again very gracious to us here on the East Coast. We had temps in the low 60's yesterday, add all the beautiful foilage and it made for a great day to walk through the Boston streets. I wish I would have had my camera though. I saw so many pretty colors. It's amazing how mother nature is responsible for it all.

To go along with "Blah Monday", I have on a "blah" outfit. This was another one of my go-to outfits when I'm on a time crunch however the fit is just all wrong now. The white tee needs to be tossed; its lost all its shape. And I forgot to wear a belt today and I feel like the pants are bulging a little because of it. After today, this look will be retired, no more, tossed to the dogs (or for my pug, Atticus, to play with).

Product Review and Blog Changes

I started messing around with the templates trying to find something more eye-catching and this what I've ended up with. Hope you like as much as I do. I personally prefer this to the old one. Let me know what you think.

I attended a Shecky's Girl's Night Out a couple of months ago and I enjoyed it so much that I went to another Shecky's event a few weeks back. If you have never been to one, basically, they put a bunch of small vendors in a room selling everything from bags to jewelry, throw free drinks courtesy of Midori or NuVo and top that off with a goodie bag that is to die for. The event definitely lives up to its name: Girl's Night Out indeed. The goodies in the bag included Dove products, toothpaste, hair scrunches and a bunch of salon-type hair products. Well, I just discovered the equivalent of a miracle in a bottle to tame my naturally curly hair. There was the smallest sample of Alagio Crazy Curl Balm in my goodie bag which I almost tossed out were it not for my friend that told to use it asap. I loved it instantly and was immediately searching online to find where I could purchase a bottle. You can only find it online but is very affordable, but if any of my readers have naturally curly hair I endorse 100%--best.stuff.ever.

Friday

Ok, I admit it. I was totally lazy today and wore the exact same outfit I wore on Sunday. But other than my boyfriend and step-kids, no one saw me! I believe that gives me a pass to wear it again today to work where people will actually see me. I am wearing different jeans today though.

* jeans - Macys
* white tee - Old Navy
* red sneakers - Chuck's
* red/black plaid scarf - Wet Seal

Weekend Run Down

I didn't make it to work yesterday or today. I did, however, make to go vote!! Please get out and vote everyone!!

I wanted to at least post a couple pics from my weekend and give you a little something to read. I went to a corn maze on Sunday. It was so much fun and it was a gorgeous fall day. We got lost inside the maze for hours (how could we not!?).

Check out the beautiful view. The second pic shows how some of the corn paths were paved and the third pic shows me acting like a child at one of the random check-points where they had activities for the kid. Guess the kid in the pic is me!

Sunday's attire:

* red sneakers - Chucks
* black leather jacket - Victoria Secret
* red/black plaid scarf - Wet Seal
