Breaking rules again

I'm breaking fashion rules again by wearing a white skirt a full 2 days after labor day (*GASP*). I think the rules have changed a little bit when it comes to white and as a matter of fact, a couple of years ago youlookfab did an entire post to the "white after Labor Day" issue. I personally believe that you can wear white whenever. As a matter of fact I own "winter white" cords that I wear regularly during the colder months, but even with that as soon as Labor Day looms close by I start thinking "oh no, I cant wear white anymore". From what I've read on blogs, posts and fashion sites, the general rule is to wear the correct fabrics. Basically, you shouldn't wear white linen pants in the middle of Fall. This skirt is cotton, the top is a silky satiny material so I think I'm safe.

(my favorite thing about these shoes is the heel....look how it fades from one color to the other)

* white pencil skirt - XoXo
* printed satin top - Express
* beige peep toe pumps - Jessica Simpson

I'm with you on this. I think we all can wear white all year round! Today I just bought some white capris and plan to wear them soon.

We need to make white a year round color! It looks so fresh and crisp.
