It was moving day at the office and even though I was told to come dressed "casually", it's still the first week on the new job so I felt like there was no way I could show up in sneakers....so flats it is! You never get a second chance to make first impressions so during Week 1 I try my best to look as professional as "business casual" allows.
Well, maybe not so much on the feeling blue part, because this lil chickadee is happy to be working! The end of Memorial Day officially ushers in wearing white and seersucker (which I love b/t/w). I'm also loving blues and navy a lot more than before. It's a great way to add a new color staple to your wardrobe.
After 5 months of being out of work, countless interviews, and dying of boredom, I'm finally back to work. Yay! I hope I didn't lose to many readers in my absence but it was just so hard to maintain the blog when gym clothes were my only contributions to fashion society. Now that I'm back to work, I hope to pick up where I left off.
My new job asked that I start this past Friday. And even though the firm has a Dress Down Friday, I just couldn't show up to the first day on the new job in jeans. Considering the 90 degree weather we had in Boston on Friday, a wrap dress was the best thing I could come up with.
