T-G-I-Feel Skinny

These wide leg jeans (which I adore) make me feel super skinny. Its all an optical illusion but I'll take it nonetheless.

My latest love

This is my latest addition to my ever-expending bag collection. I obsessed over this bag after first spotting it in VS catalog but I didn't really feel like spending the $118 for it. So I of course went right over to ebay to see if someone had it for sale. I scored the bag (with tags!) for 60% less than the catalog price. Ebay, I love you just as much. I love the size, color and material. I'm the kind of gal that carries a lot of stuff in my bag so the size is just perfect (fits nicley on my shoulder even with my winter peacoat) and the shades are great because I can mix/match with different colors. As you may have noticed, this is my first day bringing this baby out of the closet so Im super excited.

Weekend Stay

We spent the weekend in historic Plymouth which was really fun and cute to do. Its amazing how I was born and raised in Boston but yet there are parts of Massachusetts that I still haven't seen. We stayed in a haunted inn, took a latern ghost-tour, walked around the historic town all before the rest of our weekend plans were thwarted by rain/sleet. We still had a great time :)

Wednesday

My little (well not so little, she is 22 today -- Happy Birthday sis) is in Puerto Rico for her birthday week and I get to raid her closet. Haha. It is one of the perks of living back at home. She left Monday, so yesterday I borrowed her embellished black scoop neck top. Today I borrowed this cream ruffle-front shirt. Shhhh. Don't tell her. I still have 2 more days to raid her closet.

Columbus Day

I just realized today that I have officially been blogging for one year. My one year anniversary was last week but with getting over the flu and all I didn't even remember. Here's a look back at my first offical post. So Happy Anniversary to me and here's to another year of fashion blogging!

It is Columbus Day and I feel like I am that 1% that actually has to work today. The plus to working on a holiday is that you don't have to dress-up to work and we can have more of a casual Monday in the office.

* blue jeans - American Rag Co.
* purple tank - Old Navy
* beige corduroy blazer - Paris Blues
* brown/beige/purple spectator pump - Delicious

Whether you're dressing for a casual work day or a night on the town, you should try shopping Wholesale Clothing at Apparel Showroom. They have amazingly low prices and on top of that you can get more for the same price you would normally pay for just one item.

Wednesday

Sorry for the lackluster outfit today, but as Im JUST finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with getting over the flu, this outfit was my compromise at being comfortable and as well as a feable attempt at remaining some-what fashionable. I know, I know, not very sucessful in the end. But I tired! At least I put on some make-up today.

'Tis the Season (the Flu season that is)

So September totally and completely kicked my behind. I was out of work a few days because I had a very painful shin splint, then I had a series of follow-up appts that had me taking half days at work and guess what happened this passed weekend?? -- I caught the flu! I don't know how because I got the flu shot a week ago, but lo and behold I caught the flu anyways. It was a very rainy weekend in Boston so at first being stuck indoors underneath the covers didn't really bother me, until Monday morning rolled around and I was still sick, body aches, chills and all. Sigh. I was out yesterday and managed to somehow drag my butt to work today (in the least fashionable of outfits I may add). Here's to hoping that I can pump enough DayQuil and NyQuil to be back to a fashion-do tomorrow as opposed to the fashion-don't I am today :)
