We spent a beautiful October day in the best place to be during Halloween season - Salem, Mass. We visited the Salem Witch Musuem, strolled around the town and took in all things Halloween. Its a beautiful place year round, but especially in the Fall.

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday. Woke up late and then everything was rushed, not to mention the bosses were out so it all called for casual, non-fashionable outfit. No need to post a jeans and top post with no thought put in.

Today, I felt fall-like and thought dress, tights, boots; I opened the closet and saw this dress had not made its way into the "summer clothes" box for storage in the attic. Add tights and boots and voilà.

South Shore Soiree Series Begins

Another fun fashion event for my Boston area readers! Check out the South Shore Plaza's "South Shore Soiree Series".

South Shore Plaza has set the stage for a series of events to celebrate and showcase the new retailers, restaurant offerings and anchor stores that now make up the newly renovated wing at the retail center. The South Shore Soiree is presented by New Adventures of Old Christine on TV38 kick off with Ultimate Ladies Night Out on Thursday, October 28th from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and continues through Sunday, October 31st.

Ultimate Ladies Night, a mall-wide event, will include a runway fashion show, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, cosmetic makeovers by Nordstrom and Sephora, musical entertainment, prize giveaways and special retailer promotions. South Shore Plaza will be giving away free swag bags to the first 500 attendees. Adding to the excitement, attendees will be able to purchase cocktails to benefit Cradles to Crayons for a chance to win a diamond pendant! On top of all that, there will be a “Prize an Hour” promotion, where one $500 American Express®/Simon Giftcard will be given away to one lucky winner every hour*.

The duration of the weekend will include freeze modeling, cosmetic makeovers by Macy’s and Lord & Taylor, strolling entertainment and special retail offers. Guests can stop by the New Adventures of Old Christine booth, which airs five nights a week on TV38, and pick up a free compact mirror and view episodes.

Boyfriend Jean Debate

Some people love them, others completely hate it. I stood on the fence on this style of jean for quite awhile. Then I bought my first pair and they fit so comfy I was in heaven, so of course I had to get a second pair. I've usually work the boyfriend jean in a casual way, sneakers, tanks, etc. But after seeing the likes of Heidi Klum, Whitney Port, Rachel Bilson and even Victoria Beckham rocking the hell out of their boyfriend jeans with some heels, I decided to venture over to the other side and venture a lil bit out of my usual comfort zone. I will admit it takes some getting used to, at least for me anyways. I look in the mirror and I'm like "ehhhh, I don't know" but flip a magazine page and you will see some model/starlet/celeb with their own personal spin on the style. Its been nothining but rainy, dark and dreary the entire week, but today the sun decided to make an appearance. Yay to no more rain boots. "Fall" In Love With Fashion

For my readers on or near the Northshore of Boston, you should check out this event which is taking place this Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Northshore Mall in Peabody, Ma.

The mall will host a fall themed event featuring runway fashion shows, musical entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and more!

Northshore Mall is ready to unveil the hottest looks for your autumn plans during ‘Fall’ in Love With Fashion event taking place on Thursday, October 7th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The mall-wide event will include hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, modeling of the latest safari and military fashion trends, musical entertainment and retailer promotions. The event is open to the public and absolutely free of charge. Northshore Mall will also be giving away free swag bags to the first 200 attendees. “We are very excited to kick off fall fashion with our Northshore Mall ‘Fall’ in Love With Fashion event,” said Sherri D’Alessandro, Area Director of Marketing for Northshore Mall. “We created this event to showcase safari and military fashion inspired by gold miners and the transition that takes place to form chic gold glamour for a movie star or socialite.
