Digging Out of a Blizzard

Talk about knee deep in snow. This is what Boston looked like after the blizzard ending on Wedesday afternoon.

This is me and my uber-fashionable self ready for work on Thursday morning. If you live and work in the Northeast, then you are used to bundling up to commute to work on post-snow-storm days. I got a new winter coat from The North Face and new winter boots from Sorel and I am absolutely in love. Let the snow storms come my way, I'm more than ready for them

Feeling Worse But Still At Work

I feel worse than I did yesterday and even though the PTO has restocked itself for the new year, I'm just way too busy and had so much to do there was no way I could miss work. This is a VERY futile attempt at being appropriately dressed for the office. Normally, I wouldn't even post this pic but seeing as I've slacked so badly the past couple of weeks with my daily posts I will take one for the team; and of course, this is a blog for the average, everyday woman, and which one of us hasn't had one of these kind of weeks. Its only right that I share the good and the bad (and of course, I prefer when its the better) days.

Winter Doldrums

Hello readers! With the holidays it seemed that I didn't post for a couple of weeks. It feels like forever since we last got together. I hope everyone had a happy holiday season. But now its back to work as usual. No picture posts last week or this week because I have a case of the winter blues. I wondered how many of you were also affected by the colder temps and grey skies so I figured I would ask to see if I was the only one. These past couple of weeks have been gloomy both metaphorically and literally. We had our first Nor'easter of the season last week which meant heavy winter coats and boots and the temps have dropped even more. I find myself layering up, wearing Uggs and thermal long-johns underneath my clothes to brave the cold morning commute, which all leaves NO room for fashion. I had to choose between fashion or function and when it hits 20 degrees I'm inclined to go with function. I hope to be back to my normal picture posting self by tomorrow, but in the meantime, I have not abandoned the blog or my readers. I'm just trying to find my fashion groove again.
