Oscar Awards

Did you watch? Did your favorite win? What did you think of the two hosts? I wasn't that thrilled. Lucikly some fab dresses distracted me from what I thought was a bit of snooze. I thought the same about the Grammy Awards earlier this month, so I guess I'm just prone to expecting a lot more from these high-profile award shows. THE GOOD

* Mila Kunis in Elie Saab - I ADORED Mila in this lavendar gown. She looked fresh and gorgeous.

* Jennifer Lawerence in Calvin Klein - while it borders on a bit boring, the fit on her is incredible. A simple red dress can look that good if you look that good.

* Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang - Sandra looked so amazing. Better than she looked last year as winner. Red is her color.

THE BAD

* Amy Adams in L'Wren Scott - why did she pair that gorgeous blue dress with an old-lady necklace. The neckline was already a bit much but the necklace put it over the top for me.

* Anne Hathaway in Valentino - She had some pretty fab wardrobe changes throughout the evening, but arriving in this gown was a bust for me. The poofy back of the dress was not necessary.

* Jennifer Hudson in Altier Versace - I know that Jennifer wants to flaunt her new fab figure, but the color was off against the red carpet, making the orange look like bad red and the boobs area was not a good look. At all.

An Almost Post

A Week of Mournings

Readers! I'm so sorry I abandoned you for a week. Unfortunately, my grandfather passed last Wednesday and needless to say its been a hard, emotional week for everyone in my family. A lot of black was worn and considering the circumstances, the last thing I wanted to do was take a wardrobe pic before heading out to any event. I mentioned today that I was actually eerily looking forward to getting back to a work routine so I can get back to the gym and just kind of not be so wound up emotionally. I'm officially back to work today, however with another snow storm that pounded the East Coast the past couple days, nothing remotely fashionable was worn to work today. Just the typical Sorel snow boots, blue jeans and sweater. Here's to hoping for a more fashionable, photo-worthy Friday!
